Jesus hears the ten people with leprosy call out for healing. And he does! What an amazing gift to them as they can now return to their communities. I can imagine them rushing home to embrace their loved ones. Yet one takes the time to turn back to Jesus and offer thanksgiving for this new life. And the surprise is he is a Samaritan. An “outsider” who becomes a symbol of gratitude! As we prepare for worship this coming Lord’s Day, consider other ‘Good News’ that come from surprising people.
