WELCOME!
Come for a visit... Stay for a journey.
Attending a new church can be unsettling — What door do I enter? Will people be friendly? Will they leave me alone if I don’t want attention? Will I know what to do and when?
We at St. Andrew believe authentic religion has to do with making meaning in our lives—finding and holding onto that which is most precious and durable and even beyond our full comprehension. So we want you to feel welcome and at home, not distracted by little things that keep us from the essential things. We hope the following information will help.

What is the Worship Service Like?Worship is the center of our life together. It is the place where our hopes and hungers are gathered and, when met by the wisdom of ancient and the best of current practices, enable us to imagine new and life-giving ways that transform us and our world. Read more about what to expect at worship here.
ParkingWhen you arrive, you will find parking lots both on the west and east sides of the church building as well as on 10th Court, the street near the main south entrance. Handicap spaces are designated in the west parking lot and the facilities are completely handicap accessible. Bus routes 105 and 240 both arrive 2½ blocks away from the church at 12th and Redmond.
EnteringThe main entrance to the building is on 10th Court and is easily identified. A convenient entrance is also available near the handicap spaces in the west parking lot. If you are looking for anonymity, just a friendly warning: you may not get all you hope for, though we do try our best not to overwhelm you! You will find greeters at the main entrance who will welcome you warmly and be happy to answer any questions you may have. As you move into the sanctuary, you will be given a worship aid that will guide you through our worship. If you have a question, just ask. We're really glad to help and want for you to feel at home!

What about my kids?St. Andrew has a nursery for infants up to four years. Just ask a greeter at the door or an usher handing you a worship aid. Older children are with us in worship and the ushers have packets to help them participate and remain engaged in age-appropriate ways.
Learning comes by doing. We work hard to shape the worship so that all ages are engaged as much as possible. You may even see the nursery attendants sneak to the back with our youngest children during appropriate times in worship. We think it helps them to learn they are a part of all we do and they seem to love it and pick up on the songs faster than the adults. During the WeekOur community and activities extend far beyond Sunday morning. We have a variety of groups that hang out together -- a hiking group, a book group, Theology on Tap, STARS (St. Andrew Retirees & Seniors), St. Andy's Gals, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts. We also have Sunday School, classes and opportunities for spiritual development. And, in many ways as a community, we are committed to what we call "compassion, justice and peace" -- which means that we engage in lots of local service opportunities in the Renton area (addressing issues of homelessness, hunger, physical & developmental disabilities and more) and throughout our greater world.
