Tabernaculo manantial de vida
We are excited to share our building with Tabernaculo Manantial de Vida (Spring of Life Tabernacle). Led by Pastor Oscar Avalos, they are an active, Spanish-speaking congregation. The congregation was founded over ten years ago with the support of Seattle Presbytery and has met in the former Renton First Presbyterian Church building until its sale.
They have a vibrant ministry, and have a busy schedule in our building.
Sundays – 1-6 PM – Worship (entire church)
Monday – 7-9 PM – Prayer Group (Sanctuary)
Tuesdays - 7-9PM - Bible Study (High School Portable)
Wednesdays – 8 AM – 3 PM – Prayer Group (Adult Library)
Thursdays – 6:30-9:30 PM – Choir Practice (Sanctuary)
Fridays – 6-10 PM – Worship (Sanctuary, Kitchen, and Room 7&8)
1st & 3rd Saturdays – 7:30 AM-2 PM – Leadership Meetings (Adult Library)
All Saturdays – 5:30-8 PM – Youth Worship (Sanctuary and Room 7&8)
Their schedule does not conflict with our regular weekly events, but their active presence means that we need to be more intentional about scheduling our own use of the building. We can no longer assume that we can just show up, and the preferred room for our ministry meetings will be empty and available. (What a great problem to have!) And we should also be aware that it takes careful planning and creativity at times to host our various special events throughout the year.
Special events will have to be discussed with the church office 3-6 months in advance, so we that have time to get them on the calendar, and plan for how we can accommodate both our needs and the needs of the Manantial de Vida congregation. Your ministry meetings should also go through the church office, so that we can make sure a room will be available for you when you come.
When we welcome new friends into our lives, our lives become bigger, and we are blessed. It is a true gift to our congregation that we have the opportunity to host this congregation, and we are happy to have them here.
