Easter Vigil               Saturday, April 3 — 7:42pm

The first official celebration, starting at sunset, of the resurrection of Jesus. Rich in symbolism, this service has many movements and is much longer than a typical service.

Light: The fire we light in the garden, and bring by candlelight into the sanctuary, symbolizes the darkness of the world giving way to the brightness of Jesus, the light of the world.

Word: Scripture readings, hymns, psalms and prayers recall the full history of salvation and point to themes of deliverance and union with Christ.

Baptism: A time set aside for baptisms and renewal of baptismal vows.

Communion: The Easter Vigil culminates with the proclamation of the resurrection story. Communion is celebrated with great joy, as we give thanks for Jesus alive among us!

Easter Sunday        Sunday, April 4  — 10:30am

We proclaim that Christ is risen!

MISSION

Bridge Disability Ministries Sunday Celebration           Sunday, February 28

Join us from 4:00-6:00pm as we host Bridge Disability Ministries Sunday Celebration, providing worship, fellowship and a light meal for 40-60 guests from around the Puget Sound area who live with physical and developmental disabilities. This is a great opportunity to fulfill our mission as a loving, accepting, inclusive congregation, and to celebrate the inclusiveness Terry Funk represented in the life of St. Andrew.
